I would recommend using Cinemachine to make the camera follow the player, but other than that its really good

Edit: is it just me being bad at playing this or do the little purple jumping platforms sometimes clip through the player character?

I think it didn't work because you need to press the jump button when you touch the purple platforms to double jump
